Watson Lake Yukon to Carmacks Yukon on the Klondike Highway

The weather today was gross most of the day. It rained again most of the night and was still raining this morning but it had also gotten cold. It was 42 when we left the campground. The only nice thing about the weather is that the rain let up for the few stops we made and tonight the sky is clear and it has warmed up to the 60's  . . . of course it is 10:00 pm and still daylight out. It really doesn't get completely dark way up here. Good thing we have darkening window covers.

We stayed at the most expensive and least satisfying campground of the trip. No internet or phone service and showers were $1 for 2.5 minutes. It took 1 minute to get the shower adjusted. I ran out of money while still soapy . . . . not a good start to the day.

We drove ever more North and West today doing some geocaching along the way
A beautiful view of two waterfalls on the Rancheria River were a short walk on a nicely maintained boardwalk

Found a nice quiet campground in Carmacks, Yukon
Tomorrow we head for Dawson City, Yukon . . . .a famous Gold Rush town.
